Editing Figure Files

To edit a figure stored in an EndNote reference, open the reference and double-click the figure icon. This launches an associated application to open the file for editing. See Opening the Figure File.

Editing changes are made to the file stored in the library’s DATA folder for this reference, and not to the original figure file that was inserted.

Note: Never rename figure files within the DATA folder. EndNote assigns each figure a unique name that helps link it to a specific reference.
